Books have always been a source of escape; a magical realm of possibilities; a welcoming home of characters that quickly feel like long-time friends. Books are an amazing way to de-stress. Whether it’s a mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat, or a romance that sweeps you off your feet. A book that compels you to turn page after page, indulging in every word, is a book that is to be praised and thanked. I have always been a book lover. When I was a child, I would constantly have my nose buried in a book - utterly intrigued by characters and plots that were beyond my imagination. Even now, with my digital-age kindle, I can’t help but to bury myself into a wonderfully enchanting story. I tend to read at night, in the wee hours before I shut my eyes. But during the day, especially in the summertime, you can find me lounging by a pool with a novel in my hand. I think books are good medicine, and if you are in search of a book recommendation, then look no further. Here is a list that I compiled of some great page-turners.
Books that I am loving:
- At the Water’s Edge by Sara Gruen
- Inspector Gamache Series by Louise Penny
- Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon
- Airborne by Kenneth Oppel
- The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
- Me Before You by JoJo Moyes
- When Never Comes by Barbara Davis
- The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
